QUIKDRIVE™ Automated Field Interoperability Testing is a standalone application which facilitates field based testing based on the CDG Stage 3 test procedures. CDG Stage 3 testing is aimed at validation of handset performance on differing network infrastructures. The tests are executed in a manner that emulates the experience of the end user. Each area is based on a well defined set of procedures as well as pass/fail criteria. The repetitive nature of these procedures makes them well suited for automation.
The CDG Stage 3 procedures evaluate performance in the following areas:
Call Processing
Mobile Originated and Mobile Terminated Calls
Long Call
Inter and Intra infrastructure handoffs
Voice and Application Feature Testing
Mobile and Stationary Data Throughput Testing
Poor and Good Route Testing
The tests suites are designed to control the test and the reference devices, as well as to record results within the application. By running multiple copies of the application, multiple users can test simultaneously using the central IVR based system.
Each application displays real time log messages which can be used to monitor the testing progress. Instead of controlling all test devices separately, a tester only needs to configure the automated test application and monitor the testing environment.
