w2bi announces Global Mode System Selection Solution for LTE

With its long expertise in developing System Selection solutions for CDMA-based wireless devices, w2bi has now successfully developed and deployed Global Mode System Selection for Type 1 LTE devices. w2bi’s LTE Q-GENERIC automated test solution combines w2bi’s proven test automation platform with Aeroflex’s advanced 7100 LTE test set. Complementing w2bi’s existing certification platforms for 2G and 3G networks, it bundles all the elements needed for effective LTE device certification, enabling network operators to deliver the expected quality of customer experience and bring LTE devices to market faster. w2bi announces CCF Data Throttling Automation solution

Union NJ, Dec 2009 - w2bi announces CCF Data Throttling test automation suite as a part of its Q-DAAT solution. CCF Data Throttling test suite is currently available for Verizon Wireless and is based on industry-standard CCF Test Plan. OEMs can now procure this test suite for development and certification testing of Data Throttling functionality. Some of the features of this suite include automation of all supported test cases. Test cases not supported are due to emulator hardware limitation. Automation scripts use your existing Spirent APEX-type rack. Adding this test capability to you existing setup is simple and easy. Automation of the test device is based on UTS Device drivers. CCF Data Throttling suite is aggressively priced. This suite is available for all customers from Feb 2010 onwards. w2bi launches Push-to-Talk (PTT) Automation solution for Verizon Wireless

Union NJ, Nov 2009 - w2bi is pleased to launch its Push-to-talk test automation suite as a part of Q-DAAT Solution. PTT test suite is currently available for Verizon Wireless and is based on Verizon’s PTT Test Plan. OEMs can now procure this test suite for development and certification testing of PTT enabled devices. Some of the features of this suite include automation of more than 90% test cases. Remaining test cases are still available for semi-automated mode. Automation scripts use your existing Spirent APEX-type rack. Customers will have to procure a PTT Server option from Spirent. Adding PTT test capability to you existing setup is simple and easy. Automation of the test device is based on UTS Device drivers. PTT test suite is aggressively priced. w2bi announces OTADM with iMDM Support Automation solution for Verizon Wireless

Union NJ, Oct 2009 - w2bi proudly announces its launch of iMDM support for existing OTADM installs. iMDM is a brand-new, web-based, and user-friendly OMASS Server from Innopath. w2bi has worked with closely with Innopath and Verizon Wireless to add this support. This server closely emulates the real world servers and the challenges of using a test server and device configurations are now removed. This support is available as a part of Q-DAAT Solution. OTADM test suite is currently available for Verizon Wireless only and is based on Verizon’s OTADM Test Plan. OEMs can now procure this test suite for development and certification testing of OTADM enabled devices. Some of the features of this suite include automation of more than 70% test cases. Remaining test cases are still available for semi-automated mode.

Automation scripts use your existing Spirent APEX-type rack. Adding OTADM test capability to you existing setup is simple and easy. Automation of the test device is based on UTS Device drivers. OTADM test suite with iMDM support is aggressively priced. For existing OTADM customers with a valid ASA (Annual Support Agreement), iMDM support is included at no additional charge. Aeroflex & w2bi in agreement to jointly develop new LTE handset certification platform

Stevenage, UK – 24th June 2009. Aeroflex and w2bi have announced that they have entered into an agreement under which they will pool their test expertise and technology for the joint development of a network certification platform for LTE mobile devices.

“LTE is fast becoming the mobile broadband technology of choice worldwide for next-generation networks and our agreement with Aeroflex gives us access to essential technology from the recognized leader in LTE test,” said Ron Parmar, CEO of w2bi. “The quality deployment of mobile devices requires thorough testing both during development and for certification. Since LTE is a new and complex technology, certification testing assumes even greater significance. The new certification platform for LTE mobile devices is being developed to meet this challenge.”

The combination of Aeroflex’s highly successful 7100 LTE test system integrated with w2bi’s Q-GENERIC automated test solution will create a versatile LTE handset certification platform for network operators, device manufacturers and test labs worldwide. Jose Cangas has joined as one of the Board Members of w2bi Inc.

Union, NJ - June 15, 2009 - w2bi, Inc. is pleased to announce that Jose Cangas has joined as one of our Board members.

Jose Cangas is Head of Business Development, Nokia Siemens Networks. Jose has 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Jose was part of the original GSM R&D development at Ericsson, where he held various positions in sales and marketing in Spain, Sweden and the US. In 2004, Jose joined Nokia's management team to work in the mobile device business. He holds a MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas and has completed executive education programs at both Columbia Business School and Insead. Since 2007, Jose has been with Nokia Siemens Networks focused on LTE and other business growth areas in North America.

We welcome Jose, and are looking forward to his esteemed advice and experienced direction in the wireless business sphere.

w2bi's test plan approved by CDMA Certification Forum (CCF)

Union, NJ - March 19th, 2009 - w2bi, Inc. is pleased to announce that Q-GENERIC®, a turn-key test solution, fully automates the recently approved by CDMA Certification Forum (CCF) 1x System Determination Test Plan.  The test plan is based upon the CDG document 143 “Recommended System Selection Requirements for 1X and 1xEVDO capable terminals” and was developed with input contributions from leading CDMA network operators, OEMs, hardware vendors, and w2bi.  w2bi created and deployed the first industry generic solution , Q-GENERIC,  for System Acquisition testing three years ago.  Q-GENERIC verifies the system acquisition capabilities of a device loaded with any operator’s PRL and includes 200+ test scenarios for CDMA2000 and 1000+ for 1xEVDO.   Q-GENERIC product is commercially available April 1, 2009 to test the CCF approved 1X test plan.
