Ron Parmar

Mr Parmar is the CEO and Chairman of w2bi, a leading mobile software solutions provider.  He founded w2bi in 1997 with the vision of enriching the mobile user experience through innovative software solutions.  Head quartered in the US, with presence in Asia and Europe, w2bi delivers end-to-end software solutions for mobile devices ranging from value added applications, device management and certification meeting the needs of over 20 leading network operators and device manufacturers globally.

Prior to founding w2bi, Mr Parmar developed large scale trading applications for financial firms such as Goldman Sachs and JP Morgan Chase for over 10 years.  With a MS in Computer Science, Mr Parmar built modular trading systems for equity, currency and fixed income products.  Mr Parmar played a leading role in defining and implementing industry standards for traditional and synthetic currency products. 

Mr Parmar is an avid practitioner and teacher of yoga and color meditation.

Oscar Schachter

Oscar Schachter is an attorney who has forty-five years of experience in managing the operations, finance, and legal functions of computer software companies. He negotiated and drafted contracts with such companies as IBM, Siemens/Intel, Microsoft and General Dynamics, arranged financing for his clients and worked extensively for clients in business ventures in Europe, the Middle East and Japan.  Since returning to the private practice of law fifteen years ago, he has advised software and multimedia companies and technology end users on a variety of legal and financial issues.

He was a member of the Board of Directors of the New York Software Industry Association since from 1993 to 2003, and served as its chairman from 1998 to 2000.  He was also a member of the Board of Directors of ADAPSO and ITAA for many years, and served as President of the American Software Association division of ITAA in 1989 and 1990.  Oscar has a JD degree from Harvard Law School and a BA from Yeshiva College.

Philippe Content

Mr. Content is General Manager, Sweerts & Vaas, a boutique Investment Banking firm providing Strategic & Financial Advisory Services and Post-Merger Integration Advice to emerging businesses. Philippe is a General Securities Principal and is series 24, 63 and 82 certified. From 1999 to 2005, Mr. Content was co-Head of Lucent’s Corporate Strategy and Development Group. In this position he completed most of Lucent’s divestitures. During that period, his total deal flow amounted to approximately $7 billion. From 2003 to 2005, Mr. Content was also a Founding Board Member of the New Jersey Nanotechnology Consortium, a wholly owned subsidiary of Lucent, with over 30 employees, all technicians and Ph.D.’s. During that period Philippe held the positions of CEO and VP Corporate Development and grew the business from no revenues to $36 million.

While at Lucent, Philippe acquired the expertise to develop and execute on complex transactions in a short time frame.  Before joining Lucent, Philippe held several positions with large international investment banks in New York City. Mr. Content served in the Belgian military with the rank of Captain. His last assignment was as an Auditor for the Ministry of Defense.  Philippe received his M.E. from L’Ecole Royale Militaire (Belgium) and his MBA in Finance from Boston University.

Jose Cangas

Jose Cangas is Head of Business Development, Nokia Siemens Networks. Jose has 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry. Jose was part of the original GSM R&D development at Ericsson, where he held various positions in sales and marketing in Spain, Sweden and the US. In 2004, Jose joined Nokia's management team to work in the mobile device business. He holds a MS in Computer Science from the University of Texas and has completed executive education programs at both Columbia Business School and Insead. Since 2007, Jose has been with Nokia Siemens Networks focused on LTE and other business growth areas in North America.
