Global Mode System Selection (GMSS) Home > Products > LTE > GMSS

With the advent of LTE and its large-scale commercial deployment by carriers around the globe, it is seen as the next generation technology for wireless systems. Devices supporting LTE are required to carry multiple antennae to seamlessly operate between LTE and older access technologies. Often times, carriers define their own system selection requirements on top of industry-standard requirements. These requirements are supplemented by Carrier-specific test plans. w2bi has deployed solutions at major carriers and OEMs to test the current system selection standards that is actively used day-in day-out to develop, test and certify devices.

With this experience, w2bi is building on developing solutions to address the growing and complex demands of LTE and other access technologies, allowing them to inter-operate seamlessly. Global Mode System Selection suite offered as a part of LTE Q-GENERIC® Solution addresses this specific need. To name a few, this solution tests the devices’ ability to acquires the right system upon power-up, hand-off scenarios, call processing on the desired system, and emergency call processing. Multiple network scenarios or combination thereof can be emulated namely CDMA2000, 1XEV-DO, GSM / UMTS and LTE.

For new customers, setting up the system and getting operational is swift. Upgrade path for existing customers is also very easy.
